Luckily, I was able to represent UWP with a stall, and enjoyed talking to customers while appreciating some background entertainment from the Horizons stage nearby. Located in a former kitchen at the back of the main Newton House, overlooking the courtyard, we shared a space with Planet, Ruth Thorp, and Creative Thorp amongst others. After borrowing a hat from the lovely Mandy from The Dragons Garden to save from sunstroke, and plastered in SPF, I moved my table out into the sun on Sunday, where I was able to have a better view of the festivities and speak to customers who hadn’t yet ventured inside; I even managed to sell some books!
And so passed an enjoyable weekend in a beautiful location, celebrating the talent Wales has to offer. We look forward to hopefully returning again to display our titles.
